Three States of Mind Tour

Three States of Mind Tour

YGAP’s 2010 fundraising and community awareness initiative, the ‘Three States of Mind’ Tour, is a grassroots initiative designed to allow interaction with communities and ordinary Australians as the tour travels the Australian East Coast.
In 2008, two of YGAP’s volunteers rode their bicycles from Brisbane – Melbourne, 1650km in just 11 days, to raise awareness for our cause. In May 2010, YGAP will again see two of its volunteers – Jasper Stephens and Natale Matarazzo (commuter cyclists/amateur riders) ride from Cooktown in far- north Queensland to St Kilda in Melbourne. They will travel over 4,100km, in just 24 days, conquering the three states of Eastern Australia in the YGAP ‘Three States of Mind’ tour. This challenge clearly illustrates what two ordinary Australians are willing to do to help make poverty history. We envision that this tour will engage and inspire other members of our generation to rise up and advocate against global inequalities.

The key goals of YGAP’s Three States of Mind tour are:

  • Raise awareness of YGAP’s initiatives and projects
  • Highlight the opportunities individuals have to contribute to global equality and the eradication of poverty, and show that every person has within them the ability to make a diference.
  • Seek to challenge ordinary Australians and Generation Y members to join the fght against injustice and extreme poverty.
  • Create a platform to cross promote healthy active lifestyles and social awareness

The ‘Three States of Mind’ tour is seeking support and sponsorship for this ground breaking tour. YGAP is enthusiastically searching for respected and reliable partners to ensure that this vision becomes a reality.
