When was the last time you bought a bottle of water? Are you aware of the impact plastic bottles have on the environment? Be honest; if you could change your impact, without drastically changing your habits, would you?
We care about the planet. And its people.
So, YGAP have partnered with ADDWATER in yet another another creative fundraising initiative! 15 cents from every bottle of ADDWATER sold in Victoria will go toward YGAP’s clean water project in post-genocide Rwanda, East Africa. All funds raised through the sale of ADDWATER will be used to build rainwater tanks at the Ntenyo Primary School, to ensure that students and teachers have access to clean and sanitary water to drink and wash with.
ADDWATER believes that ‘good planets are hard to find’. That’s why they’ve developed a unique, slim line bottle from PLA, an entirely renewable resource made from plants. These bottles are biodegradable and compostable, breaking down within 75 – 80 days, compared to most brands that will never degrade. They won’t end up as landfill.
The bottles are also completely carbon neutral.
Water scarcity already affects 1.6 billion people, who live in countries or regions with absolute water scarcity. By 2025, two-thirds of the world’s population could also be living under water stressed conditions.
YGAP and ADDWATER believe that investing in water projects for developing regions is essential. By making small changes to our consumer habits, we can ensure that we are taking care of the planet, and its people.
